Automate email acknowledgements for your storage mode form so you can provide assurance to respondent's

Why you need this

• Improve user experience when you acknowledge form submissions

• Provide assurance when you send users details of their form submission

1. Trigger: FormSG

Connect the form you wish to receive notifications for

1. Under "Choose an app", select "FormSG" as the app.

2. Under "Choose an event", select "New form submission"

3. Click "Continue" button

4. Under "Choose connection", click "Add new connection", a modal will pop out.

5. Enter your Form URL and secret key and click

6. Click "Submit" and a "Your form is connected successfully." text would appear.

7. Choose how you want Plumber to deal with NRICs collected in your form responses. If your form does not collect NRICs select "Do nothing".

8. Click on 'Test step' button and mock data will appear. If you wish to test with actual data, you may submit a response to the live form and it'll appear the next time you click on "Test step".

9. A drop down will appear (as seen in the screenshot below) if the test is a success. Do note that mock data are being used in the example below.

Customise an acknowledgement email via Postman

Choose app and event

1. Choose 'Postman' as the app.

2. Choose 'Send email' as the action event.

Set up action

1. Set up your Postman email. You can use variables in your FormSG step to customise your email.

Hint: Include submission data in your email body

This lets you provide respondent's a copy of their submission in this email while still using a storage mode form! 😌   More assurance on form submissions 😌 

Test action

1. Click 'Test step' to see if your action is working as intended.
